Geraldine Cosgrave & Eileen France,  PSA Pastel artists

January 21 – February 28

Geraldine CosgraveBorn and raised in Ireland, Geraldine studied with Christina Debarry, Frank Zuccarrelli, and Elizabeth Mowry, which have increased her love and knowledge of the pastel medium. Geraldine has received over twenty awards in juried shows and is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America. Working with the pastel medium gives Geraldine the chance to express her feelings about a special place, object or person, and to have people enjoy her work.

Eileen France - Witnessing the dramatic interplay of light, the changing colors of the seasons, or the complex beauty of a garden provides Eileen with a constant source of inspiration for her pastel paintings. Her paintings are influenced by trips to Europe, the rolling hills and bountiful farmland of Pennsylvania, or the beautiful lake regions of Minnesota - the two areas she calls home. Her work has been included in national and international juried exhibitions and received many awards. She has been elected to signature status in the Pastel Society of America.

Don Ziegler
March 1 – April 6
What you'll see is mostly flowers, but not those everyday, ordinary flowers you pass by daily and barely notice. "Since childhood I have carried a camera, looked through it at things out there in front of me, and recorded frames of what I saw," Don says. He looks deep inside the petals of a deep red rose as it unfurls. He gets so close to a purple-blue hydrangea that you can no longer tell what it is, except that it is exquisitely beautiful. The key that unlocked his photographic view was a simple macro lens, which allowed him to get closer than ever to his flowery subjects. "Now that I am retired, what started as a seed has begun to blossom," he says. "I think about blur, sharp focus, breeze, heartbeat, breath, color, energy, lines, unfolding. Always."

Nick Santoleri
April 7 – May 16

Nicholas P. Santoleri’s detailed, realistic-style paintings evoke a sense of nostalgia blended with his belief that the past must be permitted to intertwine with the present. The artist’s portfolio includes landscapes, still-life, and portraits in watercolor, oil, pencil, and pen and ink. Nick, a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club takes classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His prints are sold in hundreds of galleries throughout North America and abroad. This self-taught artist has received numerous awards and has been commissioned by corporations, universities, and individuals.
